Our History
Home Federal Bank originated in 1920 in
Middlesboro, Kentucky as the Peoples Building and Loan Association.
In those early years, with modest assets and prudent management,
we established a record of dependability. In 1961,
we became a federally chartered institution. As a means to better
serve our customers' needs and to more effectively compete in
today's market place, we converted from a mutual institution to a
stockholder owned institution in December 1992.
Today, Home Federal Bank is one
of the top financial institutions in the tri-state area. As we
keep abreast of current financial trends we are constantly finding
new ways to better serve our customers. Our personnel are well
trained in every aspect of their responsibilities so that you can
